What you can expect from this 7 day Namibia South tour:
This safari leads to the highlights of the southern part of Namibia. You’ll see the Kalahari Desert as well as the Namib Desert, the oldest desert on earth. Explore the Fish River Canyon and Lüderitz, the centre of the lobster industry. The star-shaped dunes at Sossusvlei are definitely a highlight during your Namibian Safari.

Day 1: Windhoek, NamibiaDepart Windhoek and drive via Rehoboth into Kalahari Desert for overnight. A scenic drive will be undertaken towards sunset (in open vehicles). Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Kalahari region – preferably Auob Lodge. |
Day 2: Fish River Region, NamibiaDrive through the Kalahari and visit the Quiver tree forest near Keetmanshoop. Stop in Keetmanshoop, where you have the opportunity to enjoy lunch (on own account). Continue via Naute Dam; view Fish River Canyon’s most spectacular northern fringes. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at Fish River region. Accommodation preferably at Cañon Lodge. |
Day 3: Luderitz Region, NamibiaContinue towards coast via Aus. Possibility to see desert adapted horses on entering Namib Desert. Enjoy spectacular scenery on way to Lüderitz where you arrive around midday. Scenic drive around southern peninsula during afternoon. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Lüderitz region. Accommodation preferably at the Nest Hotel. |
Day 4: Maltahohe Region, NamibiaVisit Kolmanskop, a deserted diamond town and today a museum. Duwisib Castle will be visited during the afternoon. Onwards towards Maltahöhe. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast - Maltahöhe region. Accommodation preferably at Hammerstein Rest Camp.

Day 5: Namib Naukluft Park region, NamibiaEarly start to visit Sossusvlei, where you will undertake a scenic drive with 4x4 vehicles into the heart of the Namib Desert. Sesriem Canyon will be visited later and the village Solitaire on our way past the Namib Naukluft Mountains. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast - Namib Naukluft Park region. Accommodation preferably at Namib Naukluft Lodge. |
Day 6: Swakopmund region, NamibiaDrive through Kuiseb Canyon and continue towards coast. A packed lunch will be enjoyed along the road. See ‘Welwitschia mirabilis’, a plant that is said to grow older than 1000 years. Visit Moon landscape before arriving in Swakopmund. LP + Dinner, Bed and Breakfast - Swakopmund region. Accommodation preferably at the Hansa Hotel. |
Day 7: Windhoek, NamibiaVisit Walvis Bay Lagoon to view seabirds. Continue inland towards the towns of Usakos and Karibib, where you visit Henckert’s Centre. Visit Herero graves and handicraft market in Okahandja. Tour ends on arrival in Windhoek during the afternoon. Breakfast |
