Day 1: StellenboschAfter a short orientation you depart for the beautiful wine region of Stellenbosch. After a relaxed lunch you will visit some wine farms to sample some of the excellent wine. In Whale season (between June and November) you will spend the night near Hermanus in hope that you will see some of these huge mammals. Overnight in camp. Lunch and Dinner. Day 2: OudtshoornLeaving the coast behind you, you drive inland in order to visit the world famous Cango Caves. After taking a tour of this amazing natural wonder you visit an Ostrich farm where those brave members of the groups can take the opportunity to ride the largest bird in the world! Optional Activities: Ostrich Riding. Overnight in camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day 3: KnysnaReturning to the coast via some lovely country roads you arrive in the picturesque seaside village of Knysna. There are numerous adventure activities available here as well as some interesting local craft. Optional Activities: Canoeing, Abseiling, Hiking, Lagoon Cruise. Overnight in camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day 4 & 5: Tsitsikamma National ParkIt is a short drive to Stormsriver, your base for the next two nights. From here you will explore the coastal region in the Tsitsikamma National Park. The hiking here is some of the best anywhere and includes the option to walk the first few kilometers of the Otter Trail. Optional Activities: Bungee Jumping, Tubing, Treetop Tours. Overnight in camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day 6: Addo Elephant National ParkYou spend your time in Addo Elephant National Park surrounded by these magnificent creatures. Game driving in the Park allows you good opportunity to take some wonderful photos. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Day 7 & 8: Coffee BayAfter the last game drive in Addo, you depart the Park and drive north along the sunshine coast towards Coffee Bay. It's a long drive, but rewarded with one of the most beautiful areas along this coast. You have a full day to relax on the beach or go on a hike to the famous ‘Hole in the Wall’. |
