Day 9 & 10: Lesotho

After a full day's drive you arrive in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho with its breathtaking scenery. When border formalities are completed you climb into the mountains to your rustic overnight spot. The next day you get up early and those going on the Pony Trek will ride into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local guides. 

If you choose to remain behind you can just relax or visit the local village, school or craft market. Optional Activities: Pony Trekking Excursion, Hiking, Village and School visit. Overnight in camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 11 & 12: Drakensberg, South Africa

Crossing the border you depart Lesotho and return to South Africa where you drive towards the Royal Natal National Park. You spend the next two nights in this majestic area exploring mountain paths and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Drakensberg. Optional Horse riding trails are an easier way to reach some of the more remote viewpoints. Optional Activities: Horse Riding, Hiking. Overnight in camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 13: Kwa Zulu Natal Coast / Durban

Your journey today takes you through some amazing scenery as you return to the coast. In the late afternoon you arrive in Durban, home to the largest Indian population outside of India, and in the evening you can go out for a meal at one of the excellent curry restaurants. Optional Activities: Dinner and night out in the city. Overnight in Hostel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 14: St Lucia World Heritage Park

On your way from Durban along the KwaZulu-Natal coast you will visit a traditional Zulu village – to learn more about the Zulu history and culture. There is also opportunity to purchase some traditional handicrafts. You will spend tonight inside the St Lucia World Heritage Park and there are a number of optional activities available to enhance the time spent here. Optional Activities: Lagoon Cruise. Overnight in Hostel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 15 & 16: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Swaziland

Another border crossing takes you out of South Africa and into Swaziland where you will experience some more of Southern Africa’s cultural diversity. You spend the night in the Mlilwane Nature Reserve where you are able to explore the area on foot.
Optional Activities: Mountain Biking, Hiking, Horse Riding, Game Viewing. Overnight in huts. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 17 & 18: Kruger National Park, South Africa

You will return to South Africa and drive to the Kruger National Park for two unforgettable days of game viewing. Kruger National Park is home to Africa’s Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant) as well as a multitude of other beautiful African animals both small and large.

To increase your chances of seeing the rare nocturnal animals a night drive with the South African National Park Services is highly recommended. Optional Activities such as: Night Drive and Dawn Game Walk. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
