You will dismantle the camp and depart on foot. The first 20 minutes is a steep uphill climb, you will then walk through the park on flat and fairly easy terrain until you arrive at a beautiful natural swimming pool.
Relax, swim and enjoy a picnic lunch near to the pool on your Madagascar tour. After lunch, you will continue your walk back through the Park to the hotel, arriving at approximately 4:30pm. Breakfast and lunch will be included.
Day 12: Ifaty via Tulear, Madagascar
You will depart after breakfast on your Madagascar tour for the southwest coast town of Tulear. The roads are badly potholed but the scenery is beautiful. You will arrive in Tulear and have 3 hours for lunch and exploring.
Tulear is one of Madagascar's main seaports. Banks, restaurants and souvenirs are available. In the afternoon you will depart for the coastal paradise of Ifaty.
Day 13: Ifaty, Madagascar
Ifaty is fast becoming very popular for its stunning beaches and scuba and snorkel dive sites. You can take a walk along the gorgeous beaches on your Madagascar tour, which stretch into tiny fishing villages.
For the adventurous take a visit to the fascinating spiny forest, which is an amazing collection of baobab trees in weird and wonderful shapes. It is also possible to go scuba diving, and snorkeling on the reefs by local pirok on your Madagascar tour. For meals - there are great restaurants that all specialize in fresh seafood.
Day 14: Antananarivo via Tulear, Madagascar
Today's schedule of your Madagascar tour depends on the flight departure times from Tulear to Antananarivo. You will have a chance for a last swim in the ocean before you head back to Tulear and await your outbound domestic flight back to 'Tana'. The flight time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You will be collected at the airport in Antananarivo and transferred to your hotel. There should be enough time to visit a local craft market. The rest of the day and evening of your 15 day Madagascar tour can be spent at your leisure in 'Tana'. Breakfast is included.
Day 15: Antananarivo, Madagascar
Today's schedule of your Madagascar tour depends on your flight departure times from Antananarivo. Your vehicle will be available for the morning and if your flights are later it is possible to visit the holy hill of Ambohimanga. You will then be transferd to the airport and assisted with check-in procedures. Breakfast is included.
